Tenuta Darola

Tenuta Darola is one of the largest and most beautiful farmhouses in the area, located in Trino, in the heart of Piedmont. The current structure dates back to the early twentieth century even if inside there is a tower that dates back to the fourteenth century.

Tenuta Darola

Tenuta Darola was part of the Grange.
The Grange were farms that were spread over a large agricultural area, obtained thanks to deforestation and land leveling works.

Admiring the estate from afar in a flat countryside, marked by irrigation ditches, ditches and rare rows of trees, one cannot fully perceive the vastness of its extension, which the occasional visitor can only grasp after having crossed the threshold of one of the many entrances.

The Restoration Project and PNRR Funds

In 2022, a major restoration and enhancement project was launched for the entire rural settlement of Tenuta Darola, with the aim of giving this unique place back to the local community, schools, and associations.

The project stems from the desire to create a space open to culture, memory, and the discovery of the rural landscape of the Vercelli area, in dialogue with the historical and architectural heritage of Vercelli and the nearby municipality of Trino. An initial restoration phase was carried out thanks to PNRR funds dedicated to the protection and enhancement of rural architecture and landscape, through the restoration of the façades of the eastern portion of the settlement, with the support of the Piedmont Region.

Starting from June 2026, the site will be open to visitors through guided tours dedicated to citizens, schools, and groups.
